Everything was dried out after Saturday's extended paddling so I set off on Sunday to meet the rest of the group for a day's shoot with David Speight et al.  Our first port of call was the limestone pavement at the top of Conistone where we were going to explore the views and features

Whitby in February - 22 February 2015

After a wonderful weekend in November I decided to return to the same apartment for a break in February.  All things considered it wasn't the best time to visit with the intention of photographing Saltwick Bay as the tides weren't compatible with sunrise and sunset and the weather forecast for Sunday was only 1 grade short of Armageddon.

The weather forecast for much of the UK was complete rubbish but the Yorkshire coast appeared to be exempt from all the doom and gloom.  So off I set.  I drove through lots of clag and grot on the North Yorkshire Moors but my first sight of the Whitby coast basking in sunshine actually lifted my soul.
