The Flying Scotsman has been out of view and almost out of mind for 10 years whilst it has undergone an major refurbishment.
It has had a few test runs but today (25 February) was it's inaugural journey from London. Kings Cross to York. It was due to arrive in York at 12.25pm but hundreds of us were left waiting for over an hour before it arrived. What a sight! It was well worth the wait. I shall certainly try to go to the National Rail Museum in the next few days to get a close look.
