I have just returned from a week in the Outer Hebrides. This was a trip that I had promised myself when I retired and it was certainly worth the wait. My adventure was helped by the weather which was remarkably mild and dry so I was able to fill my days with exploration and photography.
As soon as I had unpacked and eaten a small meal I was out in the car again to visit the legendary Luskentyre. It is a white sand beach surrounded by the North Harris mountains and Taransay island so the setting is wonderful for photography.
I visited Luskentyre twice and these images are from both trips. I was really fortunate that there was snow on the mountains on the day I arrived and this certainly added to the atmosphere generated by the sea and sand.
