Once the storm had subsided the cold and rain swept in from the North Sea which meant that sunrise and sunset photography was out and there was a danger of being trapped indoors.
I decided that I would get out and walk along the length of Whitby Sands at low tide which is a very pleasant stroll from Sandsend to the head of the Whitby West Pier.
Whilst there was no wind there was a heavy drizzle but it didn't prevent me from getting out the camera.
I returned to Sandsend at the end of the week to wander amongst the groynes and play with some long exposures. Splendid!
