I am ashamed to say that in all the years that I’ve been exiled in Yorkshire I’ve never been to the arboretum at Thorp Perrow. The leaves have been late to turn this season so it was only at the end of last week that I decided that it was worth a trip to photograph some autumn colours.
There was good news and bad news! The good news was that the trees put on a spectacular display and I loved wandering around looking at the leaves showing off their colours. The bad news was that it was half term and there was a halloween trail and consequently the park was very noisy and quite busy.
However, I spent a happy couple of hours wandering and sitting and taking photographs. Here are some of my favourites.
