One of my favourite walks is from Sandsend to Whitby along the beach during low tide. It is especially lovely in the winter when there is usually a metallic orange or blue glow in the sky for most of the day. I find looking out to sea and watching and listening to the waves rolling into shore incredibly relaxing and there is always something different to see and photograph.
On Sunday I caught the bus from West Cliff and within 15 minutes I was on my way along the shore. I carried my small camera and stopped en route to photograph some of the views and atmosphere of Whitby Sands. The beach holds a lot of water so there are lots of patterns to capture as well as the colour of the sky being reflected. Gorgeous!
