I’ve recently returned from a lovely week wandering along the shorelines of the beaches on the Isle of Harris. I was hoping to capture both some waves and investigate how the sea interacts with the sand and rocks. The weather consisted of low grey cloud all the time from Day One but fortunately that didn’t affect me much apart from the fact that I didn’t see any spectacular light or sunsets the entire week.
There was still plenty happening on the shore to keep me interested and here are some of my favourites from my shoreline explorations.
I spent most of the week on Scarista (waves), Nisabost, Seilbost and Luskentyre (shapes), with a day spent on the Golden Road and investigating some of the amazing art and photography galleries found on the island, However, as this was my first holiday on the coast for over 18 months I decided that I would endeavour to retrain my eyes and spend most of my time on the wonderful beaches on my cottage’s doorstep.
