The last time I visited Brimham Rocks was January and I was suffering with a very sore back. Consequently I didn't really enjoy the experience but I wasn't going to be put off. Wondering where to go on a day out I decided to return to Brimham and I also had the hope that there would be a spectacular sunset like the one that thrilled Yorkshire the day before.
It was cold and breezy when I arrived at Brimham and I wandered off to the eastern edge of the rocks with my camera. Initially I found a wonderful tree protecting small rocks and then I noticed that the sky was changing and the sun was starting to punch a hole through the dark cloud. Splendid! I raced to the western rocks which have a view over Nidderdale for my final shots of the afternoon.
